A New Transformation

A New Transformation

Hey y'all and welcome to another new post.  Due to some circumstances and changes that have taken place and are occurring in my life, I am taking a break from my regular podcasts.  I know I will continue to still make one weekly podcast about everyday struggles.  May God help you as He helps me as the cold, lost, lonely girl I feel like right now.  May He take all our pain, struggles and hurt and gently wipe them away as He has already called us healed by His stripes

Isaiah 53:5 AMP
5But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.

Now we will head into the real meat of this post, scriptures that talk about having a new life.  First though, I'd like to start with

 Ecclesiastes chapter 3 CEV (Contemporary English Version)

Everything Has Its Time

1Everything on earth

has its own time

and its own season.

2There is a time

for birth and death,

planting and reaping,

3for killing and healing,

destroying and building,

4for crying and laughing,

weeping and dancing,

5for throwing stones

and gathering stones,

embracing and parting.

6There is a time

for finding and losing,

keeping and giving,

7for tearing and sewing,

listening and speaking.

8There is also a time

for love and hate,

for war and peace.

What God Has Given Us To Do

9What do we gain by all our hard work? 10I have seen what difficult things God demands of us. 11God makes everything happen at the right time. Yet none of us can ever fully understand all he has done, and he puts questions in our minds about the past and the future. 12I know the best thing we can do is to always enjoy life, 13because God's gift to us is the happiness we get from our food and drink and from the work we do. 14Everything God has done will last forever; nothing he does can ever be changed. God has done all this, so that we will worship him.

15Everything that happens

has happened before,

and all that will be

has already been—

God does everything

over and over again.
The Future Is Known Only to God

16Everywhere on earth I saw violence and injustice instead of fairness and justice. 17So I told myself that God has set a time and a place for everything. He will judge everyone, both the wicked and the good. 18I know God is testing us to show us that we are merely animals. 19Like animals we breathe and die, and we are no better off than they are. It just doesn't make sense. 20All living creatures go to the same place. We are made from earth, and we return to earth. 21Who really knows if our spirits go up and the spirits of animals go down into the earth? 22We were meant to enjoy our work, and that's the best thing we can do. We can never know the future.

Now onto specific scriptures that relate to a new life,

Ephesians 4:23-24

AMP
23and be continually renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh, untarnished mental and spiritual attitude], 24and put on the new self [the regenerated and renewed nature], created in God’s image, [godlike] in the righteousness and holiness of the truth [living in a way that expresses to God your gratitude for your salvation].

ESV

23and See Rom. 12:2to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24and to put on See Rom. 6:4the new self, See ch. 2:10created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.NIV
23to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

NLT
23Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. 24Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

Romans 12:2

AMP

And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be From the Greek word meaning “metamorphosis.” Refers to the process that leads to an outward, permanent change.transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

ESV

1 Pet. 1:14; [1 John 2:15]Do not be conformed to this world,12:2 Greek age but be transformed by Titus 3:5; [Ps. 51:10; 2 Cor. 4:16; Eph. 4:23; Col. 3:10]the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may Eph. 5:10; 1 Thess. 4:3discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

NIV

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

TPT

Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.

Isaiah 40:31

AMP

But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him]

Will gain new strength and renew their power;

They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun];

They will run and not become weary,

They will walk and not grow tired.

ESV

but Ps. 103:5they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;

they shall mount up with wings [Ex. 19:4]like eagles;

they shall run and not be weary;

they shall walk and not faint.

NIV

but those who hope in the Lord

will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles;

they will run and not grow weary,

they will walk and not be faint.

2Corinthians 4:16

ESV

So we do not lose heart. See Acts 20:24Though our outer self4:16 Greek man is wasting away, See Rom. 7:22our inner self [Isa. 40:30, 31]; See Rom. 12:2is being renewed day by day.

TPT

So no wonder we don’t give up. For even though our outer person gradually wears out, our inner being is renewed every single day.

Titus 3:5

ESV

he saved us, See Rom. 3:27not because of works done by us in righteousness, but Eph. 2:4; 1 Pet. 1:3according to his own mercy, by See John 3:5; 1 Cor. 6:11; 1 Pet. 3:21the washing of regeneration and See Rom. 12:2renewal of the Holy Spirit,

NIV

he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,

So I know this has been a really long post so I will stop here.  I hope you have found some encouragement in these scriptures.  Until next time, much love, and may peace be with y’all!

Remember, everyday He renews us…
