Romans 10 Mini-series part 3

Hey y'all, welcome to this week's Teaching Tuesday Thread blog post. The last 2 weeks we have covered Romans 10:1-13. This week we will finish chapter 10. Next week I will discuss chapter 10 as a whole which will tie the mini-series together. Let's dive in! Romans 10:14-21 AMP But how will people call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher (messenger)? And how will they preach unless they are commissioned and sent [for that purpose]? Just as it is written and forever remains written, “H ow beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things !” But they did not all pay attention to the good news [of salvation]; for Isaiah says, “Lord , who has believed our report ?” So faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ. But I say, did they not hear? Indeed they have; “T heir voice [that o

Romans 10 Mini-series Part 2

Hey y'all and welcome to another Teaching Tuesday Thread! Last week we started a new mini-series covering the book of Romans chapter 10 in which we covered verses 1-7. This week we are doing part 2 which will cover verses 8-13 so let's get started! Romans 10:8-13 AMP But what does it say? “T he word is near you , in your mouth and in your heart ”—that is, the word [the message, the basis] of faith which we preach— because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation. For the Scripture says, “W hoever believes in H im [whoever adhe

Romans 10 Miniseries, Part 1

Hey y'all and welcome to another Teaching Tuesday Thread. For the rest of this month, we will be doing a mini series over Romans 10. This week we will be reading Romans 10:1-7. AMP version Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for Israel is for their salvation. For I testify about them that they have a certain enthusiasm for God, but not in accordance with [correct and vital] knowledge [about Him and His purposes]. For not knowing about God’s righteousness [which is based on faith], and seeking to establish their own [righteousness based on works], they did not submit to God’s righteousness. For Christ is the end of the law [it leads to Him and its purpose is fulfilled in Him], for [granting] righteousness to everyone who believes [in Him as Savior]. For Moses writes that the man who practices the righteousness which is based on law [with all its intricate demands] shall live by it. But the righteousness based on faith [which produces a right relationship

Happy New Year

Hey y'all, welcome to another Teaching Tuesday Thread! Now [remember] this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to others] will also reap generously [and be blessed]. 2 Corinthians 9:6 AMP https://bible.com/bible/1588/2co.9.6.AMP Here’s my point. A stingy sower will reap a meager harvest, but the one who sows from a generous spirit will reap an abundant harvest. 2 Corinthians 9:6 TPT https://bible.com/bible/1849/2co.9.6.TPT Remember: A stingy planter gets a stingy crop; a lavish planter gets a lavish crop. I want each of you to take plenty of time to think it over, and make up your own mind what you will give. That will protect you against sob stories and arm-twisting. God loves it when the giver delights in the giving. 2 Corinthians 9:6‭-‬7 MSG https://bible.com/bible/97/2co.9.6-7.MSG I think these scriptures are a great reminder of a great way to start, not just a new year, but a new decade! I think tha
